I personally don’t think having multiple agents in the same city is a smart move because you may end up paying twice the commissions and be submitted to the same project multiple times which is not what you want and casting will not appreciate. It may sound like a good idea to have more people looking out for you but this business is about your network of relationships. Building a good relationship with one agent will be more valuable to you in the long run than having multiple agents submit you for work. You could end up finding yourself unsure of who your commission should be paid to since your original agent may have laid the groundwork for you while your second agent may have gotten you a job you booked. I recommend talking to someone, if you can, who is represented by multiple agents in your area and asking what their experience has been like.
